Canada’s Resettlement Program For Afghan Interpreters Has Left Families Separated

Global News reports that Fatimah arrived in Canada with her son two months ago, through the government’s Afghan resettlement program.

When fleeing Afghanistan, Fatimah's family was told they couldn't bring everyone, leading them to make the decision for Fatimah and her son to go to Canada, leaving behind her husband and their five year-old-daughter in order to secure safety for some of them.
