Black Mother Sues School Board For Failing To Protect Her Daughter Amid Rape Threats, Racial Slurs
The CBC reports that Natasha Shakespeare filed a civil lawsuit against the Simcoe County District School Board after her reports of her child experiencing anti-Black racism and bullying were brushed off countless times.
When Shakespeare moved her family to another neighbourhood in the area, her child received disturbing notes from her peers at her new school that included racial slurs and threats of rape.
